About Sarah

Sarah Panzica

I developed a love for the arts when attending The Waldorf School as a child. Directly following high school, I moved to Miami to work as a professional ballroom and Latin dancer for Fred Astaire Dance Studio. I competed all around the world and won the title of world champion as a rhythm dancer.
Teaching dance and working with movement for children with disabilities, is a true passion of mine.
I currently am finishing my senior year at Buffalo State College as a Dance/Philosophy major. During my time at Buffalo State, I participated in multiple Service Learning Projects with refugee youth at Lafayette High School, CAC, and Autism Services Inc..
I found Bikram yoga through need for work with flexibility to enhance my dancing and longevity of my career. Marina was my first teacher in this practice and I fell in love with the peace of mind I had through this yoga.
When I started to practice yoga, I found there was something more than merely the physical practice. It became a journey that reflected a change off the mat. I soon started exploring Baptiste Power Yoga and this was the key that opened my door to life.
This yoga created a ripple effect for not only myself but the people that surrounded my life, and people began to ask me if I had a face lift because my energy was so radiant from this yoga. I found home in practicing and that inspired me to pursue this path as a teacher.
In March of 2014, I attended a 200-hour teacher training in Africa, in the journey to become certified in Baptiste Yoga. While I was there, I participated in multiple outreach programs in the slums of Nairobi, Kenya- to provide yoga and nourishment to the youth.
I worked with children with disabilities to improve mobility in their body and minds through yoga. This changed my entire perspective on life in a positive light! I plan on traveling to Africa in January to teach yoga in Uganda. I currently am teaching multiple classes and living my yoga in my own community. I also hope to attend multiple yoga trainings and workshops.
Yoga has brought me possibility, self advocacy, self-worth, mental clarity, health, friends, community and I am excited to share this passion with the community at Mind Body Flow Yoga and the world! Shine Buffalo!
