In October of 2011, my best friend suggested I take a power yoga class with her. I reluctantly agreed, not sure that I wanted to sit and “stretch” for over an hour.
After taking my first class, I realized that yoga was so much more than stretching. It required physicality, presence and self-inquiry. It left me feeling powerful, inspired and whole. Ultimately, I discovered self-love from getting on my mat over and over again. I strongly believe in the powerful and therapeutic tool that yoga and mindfulness is, and I became inspired to share this with others.
I then completed Baptiste Level 1 teacher training in August 2014, and the first ever Baptiste kids yoga teacher training in September 2015. I have my masters in Occupational Therapy and currently work with children with special needs.
Yoga has given me the space to grow as a person on and off the mat, and I look forward to inspiring self-care and possibility in the Mind Body Flow Yoga community.
