My yoga journey began about 7 years ago using the P90X yoga DVD in my living room. I can honestly say that I wasn’t a fan! While I felt my body become stronger and more flexible, I honestly didn’t understand the appeal. I was completely missing the emotional/spiritual/mental aspect of the practice. To me it was simply another “workout” in my rotation of workouts.

Fast forward to January of 2017. I was turning the big 5-0 in a few months and was searching for something more, although I had no clue what that might be. 

I guess you could say that yoga became my midlife crisis! My sister encouraged me to try an actual live yoga class. As luck would have it we stumbled upon a Baptiste Power Vinyasa class. 

I spent a lot of that first class struggling to hold poses and connect to my breath, and I was okay with that! My need to be perfect wasn’t present. Something about being in that room with everyone breathing and moving together was so uplifting and empowering. 

Finally, I “got” yoga.

In the summer of 2018 I took my yoga practice to the next level by taking my 200 YTT in British Columbia, Canada. Now my goal is to share my love of yoga with the world!
