Thoughts for March:

I can remember that night like it was yesterday. It was a cold winter’s night in February of 2012. My cell phone rang and it was my contractor on the other line. He said, “Marina, you guys can come over and take a look at the space. We’re wrapping up here.” I felt excited, nervous, and anxious all at the same time. I told my husband and he and I, along with our 16-month old daughter at the time, drove over to the studio to take a look.
When we opened the door, I’ll never forget it, my husband said, “Wooooooow” out loud. I gasped and my jaw dropped opened, and our baby girl stared on with wonderment. We couldn’t believe our eyes. The space had totally transformed from a worn vacant space, to a yoga studio. It was my exact vision come to life. With tears in my eyes, I knew this was it. My dream had come true!

Since opening our doors on March 12th, 2012, we haven’t just been practicing yoga; we’ve been changing lives, strengthening our community, empowering people and encouraging peace and personal fulfillment. None of this would be possible without the Mind Body Flow Yoga community–which is you!

On March 12th, Mind Body Flow Yoga, will be 3 years old! The dream continues to grow. We’ve witnessed the personal transformation of countless students and are honored to have you as such an essential part of our own transformation.
I thank you all for your courage and willingness to show up time and time again and do the work, and I thank you for entrusting a part of your life that is so personal to Mind Body Flow Yoga. I am humbled by your courage and determination to expand as human beings, both on and off the mat.

As we reflect on the past and hold hopes and dreams for the future, let us not lose sight of what we already have accomplished. Let us celebrate what we have already achieved…growth and the shaping and molding together of a beautiful community.
