My journey with yoga started over 10 years ago. Back then, it was more of a supplement to running, but as the years went on, the running became less and the yoga became more. I had done Hatha, Bikram and prenatal yoga. When I found Power Yoga, I realized that yoga can be a workout in and of itself. I fell in love with this intense physical practice and it became a huge part of my life.

Naturally as I grew in my practice, I noticed the mental and spiritual changes happening within myself. I wanted to learn more about this side of yoga. I began a regular meditation practice and watched as my physical practice and my relationships with myself and others began to soar. I learned that yoga and meditation were healing parts of me that I never knew could be healed.

As a wife and a mom to 2 very busy kids and 1 new baby, I practice yoga to stay grounded and keep stress and worry at a manageable level. It’s not easy (i still need reminders!), but the combination of yoga, breath, and meditation has taught me that literally going with the flow of life is possible! Those “speed bumps” life throws at us definitely don’t stop coming, but they get a little less scary and overwhelming when we learn to give in to the flow.

I became a certified 200 RYT to be able to pay it forward and share this practice with all walks of life. My goal is to create a safe space for you to make the practice your own – to empower you to push through the obstacles and embrace the messy that may come of it. Celebrating each step of the way! Your time on your mat is whatever you want it to be.
