I hope that people taking my classes will find the experience both harder and easier than they expect. Harder because I challenge students to stretch beyond what they think they can do — both literally and figuratively — and easier because I support and cheer them on throughout the process.

Believing that we put energy into what we care about, I encourage students to open themselves to their own capabilities in classes where I provide a safe and joyful space.

This approach reflects my own commitment to lifelong self-discovery and learning. My personal journey in yoga began in earnest approximately 10 years ago, while living and attending law school in New York City, and I became increasingly dedicated to its practice as I grew more mindful of how yoga “speaks to my soul.”

I also see yoga as a key element in helping me seek a healthy life balance and appreciating everyday joys. I love to play and laugh with my two young children, husband, and vocal dachshund while I work as an attorney and mediator.

I received my yoga certification through an intensive, internationally recognized program in Costa Rica. I am RYT200 certified, and registered with the Yoga Alliance. My personal practice is a synthesis of a variety of yoga styles, with a focus on vinyasa yoga.

I am a native of Rochester, New York, suburb of Fairport. I earned bachelor’s and master’s degrees from the University at Buffalo, and a law degree from Brooklyn Law School. I maintain a private legal practice, with a specialization in divorce mediation.
