Angela Bottone
MBFY Instructor Angela Castlevetere

I first came to yoga as a young mom of three children under the age of three.

My practice was sporadic at best, squeezing time in at any studio or the gym I belonged to, that had a class offered at a time that I was free.
In 2009, I began taking Bikram classes once a week and I liked the feeling that I felt at the end of class, physically exhausted and yet energized somehow. Then my sister-in-law suggested that we try a power yoga class.

As I started that first class, I was nervous and unsure of what to expect.
We moved, flowed, and sweat.

When the class came to a close, and it was time for savasana, I lay on my mat and felt tears fall down my face and in that moment I realized that those 75 minutes of class were the first time that I had been truly present in my own life in a long time.

I wasn’t worried about…
my kids,
my husband,
the housework,
our business,
and in fact…

I wasn’t worried about anything at all.

My stress and anxiety were gone and I felt a sense of peace and calm that I had not felt in years. Needless to say, I fell in love with yoga.

My husband and my three children are my whole world and I am so grateful for their love, encouragement and support as I pursue my yoga journey. My intention is to live my life as an inspiration to my children of what it means to be a mother, a wife, a sister, and a friend.

Yoga has given me the tools I need to model that I can face all of the challenges that life brings by staying with my breath, being fully present in each moment, and letting my emotions flow through me. (Which is very helpful as a mom of three teenagers!)

In 2014, I attended Level One with Baron Baptiste in Sedona, Arizona. I followed that up with Art of Assisting in April of 2015. Most recently, I completed my two hundred hour teacher training at East Meets West Yoga and am in the process of registering as an RYT with Yoga Alliance. I plan to continue my training in the years to come and continue to learn new ways to reach students and make the practice more accessible to them.

I teach yoga so that I can share my love and dedication for this practice with others. I truly believe that this practice is life changing if you show up and do the work and my intention is to share that in my classes.
