From February 19th – 22nd, I had the pleasure and honor of assisting at the Baptiste Advanced Art of Assisting program, at Bala Vinyasa Yoga, in Miami, FL (assisting team, along with program facilitator, Brandon Compagnone, pictured above).
This was my first time ever assisting at a Baptiste program. I normally am at Baptiste programs as an attendee/participant. It was so interesting to now be on the opposite side of a Baptiste program, as an assistant. It was incredible not only to see, but to be a direct part of all that goes into running a program behind the scenes (from set-up, to retail, to technology, etc.). It truly was the best of both worlds. Not only did I get to attend the program, but I also was able to be of service to the program participants and an integral part of the overall operations of the program.
I learned so much that weekend and once again was reminded that learning, growing, and refining never ends. I also was reminded of how beautiful and powerful it is to be of service to and a stand for others. Every time I come away from a Baptiste program, I leave completely inspired, lit up, and am reminded of why I love this practice so much.
Just when I think I couldn’t be more amazed, Baptiste Yoga and its beautiful community amazes me all over again and allows me to grow even more as a human being. It all just reinforces and heightens my love for teaching and serving you all at MBFY!
What do you love the most at your yoga training programs?
